At AHR Expo, Mojave Energy Systems, founded to change the nature of air conditioning, announced the availability of ArctiDry HP.

The newest version of Mojave’s patented, easy-to-install, liquid desiccant HVAC system now includes a heat pump for year-round, energy-efficient cooling and heating. Mojave is the first company to integrate liquid desiccant with a reversible heat pump.

HVAC sustainability solution

By incorporating a reversible heat pump, our innovative system is now a year-round electrification and decarbonization solution,” said Phil Farese, CEO, Mojave Energy Systems.

With ArctiDry HP, building owners can slash their cooling energy use by 50% with liquid desiccant and eliminate fossil fuel emissions in winter with a built-in heat pump. It truly is an exceptional commercial HVAC sustainability solution and shows Mojave’s dedication to ongoing innovation.”

Product features of ArctiDry HP

ArctiDry HP is ideal for Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) and dehumidification applications in healthcare, education, grocery, hospitality, and manufacturing. The product features:

  • An unparalleled ISMRE2 efficiency rating of up to 11 lbs/kWh, which dramatically lowers electricity consumption by up to 50 percent while in cooling mode.
  • The ability to operate in heat pump mode as low as 10 degrees Fahrenheit ambient (with supplemental heating options available for colder climates, including gas, electric, and hot water).
  • Heating efficiency ISCOP greater than 3.0 (Integrated Seasonal Coefficient of Performance, per AHRI 920 test standard).
  • ArctiDry HP takes advantage of the compressor it uses in summer to also pump heat from the outdoors into the building in winter, making it a more cost-effective heat source than a conventional gas or electric heater.
  • ArctiDry HP is able to efficiently heat, dehumidify, and cool the air as needed, all in a single, easy-to-install and maintain unit.

Mojave is exhibiting at the AHR Expo in Orlando, Florida, on February 10-12, 2025. Visit booth #7979 for more information and to see a product demonstration of ArctiDry HP.
