The MCX15B2 and MCX20B2 controllers’ capabilities have been further extended with seamless WT-DM room thermostat integration to make it easier for OEMs and integrators looking for a one-stop-shop temperature control solution across a range of comfort applications.

Used for room temperature or water-based floor heating systems, Danfoss WT-DM thermostats help maintain precise temperature settings. Their highly functional electronic display also lists current room and floor temperature, predefined temperature settings, floor heating, and frost protection status, and holiday and child lock modes.

WT-DM offers a space-saving design and 230 VAC power supply, with the added benefit of an integrated relay output and floor sensor input.

With a wired RS485 connection and a Modbus RTU, the components are in constant communication to help ensure that optimal temperatures are achieved and maintained.

Arne Muller, Danfoss HVAC project manager, said, “Now we have combined our MCX and WT-DM ranges, OEMs and integrators have a wider range of options when incorporating chillers and heat pumps in commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, and residential buildings. With seamless communication between the two devices, end-users also stand to benefit from more accurate temperatures and greater efficiency.

The upshot is OEMs and integrators can now get both components from a single supplier—backed by the interoperability of Danfoss products.
